Mrs Godslove Olakada, a mother of two, was arrested in Rivers State for reportedly soaking her husband, Mr Olakada Ejire, in a liquid suspected to be diluted acid.
Last weekend, an event occurred in the Agbonchia hamlet of Eleme Local Government.
The two were claimed to have fought over the 7.5% equity dividends granted to the Agbonchia community by Indorama-Eleme Petrochemicals Limited.
According to reports, the conflict began when the husband refused to pay his wife her portion of the N15,000 he received from Indorama income given to the community trust.
The woman was said to have left her matrimonial house but returned after learning that the dividends for 2023 had been paid.
According to eyewitnesses, the couple fought on Saturday morning in their Agbonchia house, during which the mother of two daughters spilled the material over the husband’s face. She grabbed his ATM card and attempted to run.
However, her luck ran out when she was discovered hidden inside the ceiling of her chamber.
