Troops Storms Terrorist Camp In Plateau, Recover Weapons

According to reports, during a hunt on the hideout in Pandem Forest, Qua’an Pan LGA in Plateau state, Nigerian Army troops discovered a terrorist camp.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication that focuses on the Lake Chad region, Operation Safe Haven forces carried out the raid in the state. According to the magazine, the operation was completed on June 12 by the military.

Zagazola Makama was informed by intelligence sources that the terrorists left the area as soon as they saw the soldiers.

According to the accounts, the forces came across a recently excavated enclave in the forest.

When the soldiers examined the area during the raid, they found “2 AK-47 rifles, 2 AK-47 magazines, and 13 rounds of 7.62 MM special” stored away.

The sources further stated that the army are working harder to arrest the terrorists who are escaping.

In April, troops recovered a bread factory at a hideout of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) in Borno.

The troops also discovered a factory in Abulam-BUK, Damboa LGA of Borno state where ISWAP fighters manufacture improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
