Following the unfortunate incident by yet to be identified gunmen that led to the gruesome murder of Sylvanus Namang the Plateau State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an industrious businessman, Mr. Sunday Okonkwo the Owner of Soma Provisions Store in Pankshin Town, Plateau State, the former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Simon Mwadkwon has called for proactive security measures to address the growing spate of kidnapping and other criminal activities in the State.
He described the killing of the duo as barbaric and inhuman calling on urgent action to ensure the Perpetrators are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.
Senator Mwadkwon decried the rising rate of insecurity in the Country and said urgent steps need to be taken to nip the situation in the bud.
He urged security agencies to live up to their primary responsibilities of protecting lives and property of the citizens as well as tackling criminal elements waging war against well meaning Citizens of the Nation.
He said “Proactive steps and strategies must be deployed to immediately address this ugly trend before it get out of hands”
He prayed God to comfort the respective Families of the Deceased.
