Sen. Lalong distributes goodies to constituents for Christmas, New Year

The distribution commenced on Christmas eve with sharing of thousands of bags of rice to all the wards of the six local Governments that constitute the Southern Zone.

The Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Simon Bako Lalong, has commenced the distribution of Christmas items to his constituents to help them celebrate the Christmas and new year.

According to the Special Adviser (Media) to Senator Lalong, Dr. Makut Simon Macham, the distribution commenced on Christmas eve with sharing of thousands of bags of rice to all the wards of the six local Governments that constitute the Southern Zone.

Dr. Macham stated that the first phase of the distribution which kick-started at his country home in Ajikamai Shendam, was done on behalf of the distinguished Senator by his Zonal Liaison Coordinator Hon. Edward Velwan Waziri together with Hon. John Naandoet, Senior legislative Aide to the Senator.

“On hand to receive the items were Local Government Liaison Officers to the Senator from Mikang, QuanPan, Shendam, Wase, Langtang South and Langtang North,” he said in a statement.

“The items will further be distributed to beneficiaries at the polling unit level in all the local Government Areas.

“During the presentation, the Senator’s representation informed the beneficiaries that the gesture was a continuation of Senator Lalong’s commitment to impacting the lives of his constituents.

“They disclosed that the Senator will during the yuletide period be reaching out to various stakeholders and carrying out some Constituency interventions as well as physically participating in some events across the Senatorial zone.

“The Senator uses the opportunity to wish people of Plateau South Senatorial District and the entire people of the State a happy Christmas and a prosperous new year ahead,” Dr. Macham added.
