Rock international film festival returns with Second edition, set to hold 1st – 4th November

The central organizing committee for the Rock International film festival, RIFF set to hold its second edition on the 1st – 4th November, 2023 for a 4days of thought-provoking cinema and discussions at the Jos museum auditorium, Plateau State.

This was disclosed to Plateau Bloggers and online media in a press briefing at the Disability Right Commission, Plateau State. 

Rock international Film Festival is a prestigious human rights film festival that celebrates the power of storytelling to bring about change. 

On this second edition, The organizing committee of RIFF is excited to unveil a carefully curated lineup of films that delve deep into the heart of human rights issues. From stories of resilience in the face of adversity to powerful calls for justice, these films will ignite conversations and inspire action.

Renowned filmmakers, activists, and other inspiring individuals will be gracing RIFF with their insights and experiences.

The Rock Awards ceremony is another highlight of RIFF, where the organizers tend to recognize outstanding contributions to human rights storytelling through film. the organizers  are excited to announce that the award will be presented to a group of filmmakers who have used their craft to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and give a platform to important human rights issues.

In addition to the official program, RIFF is also proud to partner with a variety of organizations and initiatives that are dedicated to promoting human rights and social justice. These partnerships will allow us to reach a wider audience and have a greater impact.

The Maiden edition of the Rock International Film Festival 2022 was a huge success with the support of Movie that matters. The festival raises a huge awareness about the human rights. The human right commission in Jos also supported the prestigious film festival from the beginning to the end.
