Residents of the Gagdi community in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State have continued to pour praises and encomium on the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, for renovating the dilapidated
Gagdi Primary Healthcare Care Center which had been neglected for decades.
The facelift given to the center by Hon. Musa which has seen its complete turn around is another testament to his avowed dedication to touching the lives of the people of the council no matter where they are located or their political leanings.
A statement on Wednesday by the Director of Media & Publicity to the Executive Chairman, Ibrahim Yusuf Dembo, reveals that the renovation of the Gagdi health center is another fulfilment of his pledge to serve the people.
The statement titled “Gagdi Primary Healthcare Center Transformed: From Neglect To Life-Saving Facility By Executive Chairman Of Kanam LGC, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa,” reads:
“The people of Gagdi, a community in Kanam Local Government Area, are beaming with joy thanks to the timely intervention of Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, the Executive Chairman of Kanam LGC.
“Chairman Musa has renovated the Gagdi Primary Health Care center, replacing its dilapidated roof with modern roofing and refurbishing the entire structure to provide better medical care for the community.
“During his election campaign on October 7, 2024, Chairman Musa was moved by the deplorable state of the health care center. He recalled Chief Ephraim Usman, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Plateau State, donating one million naira to renovate the Gagdi Market.
“Chairman Musa made a mental note to prioritize the renovation of the Gagdi PHC center if he won the election. And he won with people of Gagdi supporting him victoriously.
“True to his word, Chairman Musa has demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
“His leadership style is inspired by his principal, Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, who is known for keeping his promises.
“Chairman Musa has assured his constituents that he has more plans in store for Kanam LGC, aligned with the blueprint for the local government.
