The Plateau State government, led by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has once again, demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of the Muslim faithful in all the 17 local government areas through a generous Ramadan gesture with the distribution of food items totaling 6,500 bags of 50kg perboiled rice, 4,000 packets of spaghetti, and 1,500 sets of 6 x 3 litres of Kings Vegetable Oil.
The distribution of the Ramadan gifts which was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, marked the first phase of the government’s Ramadan initiative.
The Chairman of the Plateau State Ramadan/Sallah Welfare Committee, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa who is the Executive Chairman of Kanam LGC, who coordinated the distribution, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Governor Mutfwang for his kindness and generosity.
Salihu urged the Muslim Ummah to pray for the success of the “Time is Now” administration and for Governor Mutfwang to succeed in his endeavors, ultimately benefiting Plateau State. He also prayed for sustained peace in the state during the Ramadan period.
In a statement by his Director of Press, Ibrahim Dembo on Sunday morning, Hon. Musa said the successful distribution of the gifts has brought joy and relief to the Muslim community, and the government looks forward to another seamless and impactful distribution to key stakeholders across the state.
