Governor Mutfwang’s commitment to resolve the strike has received praise from both healthcare experts and the general public.
He stated that “there has actually been a significant improvement in the health sector. At the first few months of assumption, I think almost the health system was in crisis because all the workers were on strike, the doctors, the nurses and the hospital were shut down. The comments for the doctors was increased to 90%, and then the hazard allowance too was also increased, and the nurses, as well as their other requirements; we are also looking into the issue of normalising their cadre, the entry cadre, and then replacing staff who have retired or quit. And his excellency gladly approved it. So far, there have been no labour issues”
Key initiatives implemented include the provision of essential resources, infrastructure upgrades, and enhanced support for healthcare workers. These measures aim to bolster the capacity of healthcare facilities across the state and ensure that residents receive quality care.

Not just even in the state alone, even at the federal level” said the health commissioner.
