Plateau Govt. Set to Distribute 200 Trucks of Fertilizer as Palliatives to Citizens

The governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, announced that the state has obtained more than 200 trucks of fertiliser for distribution to its residents as a last resort.

This was said by Governor Mutfwang on Monday during a fertiliser inspection at the 551 Nigeria Air Force Station in Jos, Plateau State.

The fundamental goal of giving the fertiliser, he emphasised, is to assist and subsidise agriculture with the overall objective of guaranteeing food security inside the state and throughout Nigeria.

In order to ensure that the fertiliser is delivered to the intended recipients for use in agriculture, Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed that a well-organized distribution strategy is in the works.

He reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to improve the state’s agricultural profitability for its residents.

According to Hon. Sunday Abdu, the executive secretary of PLASEMA, more than 170 trucks of fertiliser have been uploaded and an additional 40 trucks are awaiting processing.

The Commandant of the 551 Nigerian Airforce Station Jos accompanied the Governor on the inspection visit.
