Nentawe Yilwatda, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Plateau State, has officially informed the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, of the appeal court judgement that pronounced him governor-elect of the state.
The Court of Appeal fired Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang on Sunday, declaring that he was not legitimately sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as required by Section 285(2) of the Nigerian Constitution.
The court also declared Yilwatda as the winner of the March 18 Plateau State Governorship Election.
