Mangu LG Chairman welcomes NYSC members, assures of peaceful stay

Mwolpun emphasized that the security of the corps members is of topmost priority to the government.

The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, has welcomed NYSC members to Plateau State, assuring them of a peaceful and secure stay.

The Chairman who was represented by his Director of Press and Publicity, Hon. Jeremiah Dakahap, while addressing the corps members during the NYSC Local Day celebration which took place on Saturday at the temporary orientation camp in Jos featuring Mangu Local Government Council, extended a warm welcome to the corps members, assuring them that Plateau State is a home of peace and tourism.

Mwolpun emphasized that the security of the corps members is of topmost priority to the government.

He wished them a fruitful stay in Plateau State and apologized for the temporary relocation of the orientation camp from Mangu to Jos due to security challenges.

However, he assured the corps members that the government is working tirelessly to ensure the camp resumes in Mangu within the shortest possible time.

Mwolpun appreciated the efforts of His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang, for working tirelessly to see that corps members resume camp in their permanent orientation camp in Mangu.

The Chairman’s representative presented a cow to the corps members as a token from the Executive Chairman for the celebration of Local Day in the camp.

The corps members were overwhelmed with joy and appreciation, expressing their gratitude with thunderous applause and screams of joy, accompanied by a lively band performance.

The Plateau State Coordinator of NYSC, Jonathan Yavala appreciated the Chairman for his benevolence and later presented him with a copy of their maiden magazine.

The celebration showcased the rich cultural heritage of Mangu Local Government, promoting unity and cultural exchange among the corps members.
