The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, has launched the emblem for the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day while applauding the Nigerian Legion for their unflinching support which helps in maintaining peace in the society.
Mwolpun who launched the emblem at his office in Mangu when he received members of the Legion in preparation for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day coming up on the 15th of January 2025, noted that considering the wealth of experience in the Nigerian Army, having served and defended the country, their advice will go a long way in helping to curb the security challenges bedeviling the local government.
In a statement issued by the Director of Press and Publicity to the Executive Chairman, Jeremiah Dakahao, Mwolpun promised to do his best to complete the Legion’s uncompleted secretariat within the shortest possible time.
In his remarks, Chairman of Mangu chapter of the Nigerian Legion, Rtd. Maj. (CNC) Joseph Mangtit, congratulated the Hon. Mwolpun and his deputy, Hon. Nuhu Yakwen, on their victory at the LG polls.
Mangtit solicited for support to complete the secretariat which has been dormant for years and prayed God to guide, protect and see them through their administration.
The high point of the ceremony was the launching of the emblem and decoration of the Executive Chairman, the Deputy Chairman and some Directors of the council who were present.
