The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Bala Mwolpun, has reaffirmed their administration’s commitment to partnering with engineers from the council in his desire to drive development to the local government.
Mwolpun who made this known while receiving members of Mwaghavul Engineers Assembly at his office in Mangu alongside his deputy, Hon. Nuhu Lawal Yakwen, urged the engineers to bring their wealth of experience back home for the benefit of their people.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by Jeremiah Dakahap, Director of Press and Publicity to the Executive Chairman, Mwolpun reiterated his administration’s commitment to work with the team to bring development to every part of the council.
In his speech at the occasion, the Chairman appreciated the state Governor, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, for creating an enabling environment through the peace that has been enjoyed.
Mwolpun stated that with the support of the engineers, the challenging task ahead will be made easier.
Leader of the Mwaghavul Engineers Assembly, Engr. Geoffrey Wetjwak, congratulated Hon. Emmanuel Mwolpun on his victory at the polls and wished him success in his administration.
Eng. Geoffrey also assured the Chairman of the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with his administration to bring about meaningful development to Mangu Local Government.
Also speaking on behalf of the Assembly, Engr. Aaron Gumir and Prof. Mrs. Rose Dafi, expressed their willingness to bring their wealth of experiences to benefit their community.
They also promised to initiate ideas that will bring growth and development to their home local government.
The team advised that deliberate efforts should be made to encourage females to study engineering, as Plateau State is backward in the number of women engineers.
The Director of Works of the local government, Engr. Nankpak Miri Njomiri, expressed gratitude for their visit and solicited their services for quality delivery at an affordable rate for the development of Mangu Local Government.
