In a bid to enhance effective service delivery to the citizens of Plateau State, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved a minor but strategic cabinet reshuffle. The reshuffle, announced on August 20, 2024, involves key changes in the leadership of two critical ministries.
Under the new arrangement, Hon. Noel Nkup, who has been serving as the Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, will now take on the role of Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development. Meanwhile, Hon. Bashir Lawandi Datti, formerly in charge of Youth and Sports Development, has been reassigned to oversee the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy.
The reshuffle is aimed at optimizing the government’s capacity to deliver on its promises and ensure that each ministry is led by individuals best suited to drive progress in their respective sectors.
The changes are effective immediately, as confirmed by Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs for the Plateau State Governor’s office.
