It was glamour and fanfare when the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), bestowed the National Meritorious Award on the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Area, Hon. Salihu Ayuba Musa, in recognition of his outstanding achievements within his first 100 days in office.
The award ceremony which took place in Jos on Tuesday, also saw Hon. Musa’s wife, Hajiya A’isha Salihu Ayuba, present to support him as he received the meritorious award.
While presenting the award, spokesperson for the NANS delegation from Plateau State Polytechnic, Omotosho Richard, highlighted Hon. Musa’s notable achievements, including the construction of two blocks of three classrooms in Namaran Ward, Kanam LGA, a feat he said was remarkable and had earned Hon. Musa the National Meritorious Award of Excellence.
In a statement, the Director of Media & Publicity to the Executive Chairman,
Ibrahim Yusuf Dembo, said the NANS delegation also presented Hon. Musa with a medal of partnership and conferred upon him the title of ‘Five-Star ALUTA GENERAL’, symbolizing his commitment to education and his dedication to the people of Kanam LGA.
