It was another dark day as heavily armed Fulani militia invaded Npat village of Kombun District in Mangu Local Government Area where they killed the Pastor in charge of the Assemblies of God Church, and two other members of the community.
The assailants were also said to have stolen the Pastor’s cows, goats, chicken and other food items before escaping.
According to a resident of the village, the rampaging Fulani militia had invaded the home of the man of God at about 10pm on Wednesday night in a bid to steal his cattle but when he challenged them on hearing a commotion, they shot him dead and made away with the cow and the other domestic animals and foodstuff.
A family of the murdered Pastor who also confirmed the attack said:
”The Fulani herdsmen forced themselves into the Pastor’s compound at about 10:00 p.m. The clergyman who had earlier sighted them came out of his house and to confront them but he was shot dead by the herdsmen.
“The militias not only killed him but went away with his cattle. The clergyman was later found in the pool of his blood and died on the way to the hospital in Mangu town.”
