Former Deputy Governor of Plateau State and one-time Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Sonni Gwanle Tyoden, has passed away.
As of the time of this report, the cause of his death remains unknown.
Born on May 4, 1950, in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Professor Tyoden was a respected academic and politician who left an indelible mark on both the educational and political landscapes in Nigeria.
