Now that Duncan Fertiliser Company Limited is about to open its multibillion-naira fertilizer blending plant in Lawrin, Heipang, Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau State, farmers in the Plateau and North Central regions can breathe a sigh of relief.
In partnership with the Plateau State Government, the Duncan Fertiliser Company Limited was established in 2016 as a fully owned subsidiary of the Duncan group operating under the OCI (OIL AND CHEMICAL LIMITED). Fertiliser mixing, distribution, and supply constitute its main business activities. On January 24, 2024, it will be formally launched. The Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour will be His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Governor of Plateau State, and Sen. Abubakar Kyari, CON, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security.
A press release from the company, signed by Mainasara Illo and provided to journalists in Jos, stated that Plateau Duncan Fertiliser Company is quickly becoming one of the nation’s top agro-allied chain companies thanks to the hard work of a knowledgeable and committed staff.
According to him, Plateau Duncan Fertiliser Limited, a blending facility in Plateau State with a vast distribution network, is poised to launch full operations and thrive in Nigeria as the PLATEAU PRIDE. Its flagship brand, “DUNCAN FERTILISER,” offers a variety of blended NPK variants, such as NPK 15, 15, 15; NPK 20, 10, 10; NPK 12-12–17, etc., as needed by individual or corporate clients.
Part of the statement reads, “What sets the company apart and ahead of others is not the blending capacity of 120mtper hour with a capacity of over 550,000MTPA. It is the top range technology of our machinery amidst the incomparable competence of the operatives to provide both the traditional NPK formulations of the NPK 20, 10, 10 ;15, 15, 15! as well as it’s customized formulae and carefully calibrated enrichment”.
The statement pointed out that the flagship brand, DUNCAN FERTILIZER is already the favorite of the farmer in Plateau State and will move into the other regions of the North Central Nigeria and beyond, adding that they are also participating in the Federal Government’s Presidential fertilizer initiative which provides fertilizers to farmers at a subsidized rate.
