The Executive Chairman of Bokkos LGC ably represented by the Deputy Chairman Hon. M.J Wallangko has applaud the organizers of Kasuwan Pateau, also called on investors to come and invest in Bokkos and experience it rich agricultural and mineral resources, and good weather, the people are very hospitable, and has a very good cultural heritage, this was disclosed by hon. Wallangko during the kasuwan plateau Bokkos day at Solomon Lar amusement Park on the 7th of November 2024.
In a goodwill massage by the deputy chairman hon. M.J Wallangko, he thanked the organizers for giving Bokkos people the opportunity to showcase the rich agricultural and cultural heritage, he also commend governor Mutfwang’s intervention in the area of agriculture and mineral resources.
Speaking in an interview with journalists hon. Wallangko said Bokkos local government is known for it’s rich agricultural products such as the Irish potatoes and the popular Bubal which is very rich in nutrients, according to him Bokkos has the capacity to complete in any international market when it comes to agricultural products and minerals, because the local government is bless with lots of minerals deposits and the land is also rich in agriculture which makes farming in Bokkos so profitable.
He commend governor Mutfwang’s intervention on agriculture, ” the distribution of fertilizer to farmers has really boost agricultural products this year, for them in Bokkos it was a bumper harvest and they appreciate the governor for the intervention, and in the area of security the governor has done well, because in the time past some of their people hardly go to farm because of insecurity and lack of farm inputs such as fertilizer and seedlings.
The agricultural market in Bokkos to the international make is a reality because the kind of rich products that comes from Bokkos meets international standards.’
Hon. Wallangko also use the opportunity to call on investors to come and invest in Bokkos, he speaks about tante where they produce UTC tomatoes, the place has been abandoned for years now, but if the investors can come to continue the tomatoes farming it will reduce unemployment because the youth will be engaged that alone will reduce the insecurity Bokkos local government is currently facing, the governor has put in place security measures to protect any investor and them at Bokkos will also assist in providing an enabling environment for them.
If such opportunities will be utilized and Bokkos people also take advantage of the the kasuwan plateau which the have taken advantage the state entirely will stop depending on the national subvention because plateau is rich in agriculture and mineral resources.
The case of Bokkos he said, it has so many rich minerals deposits that is yet to be explore, and when you talk of agriculture Bokkos land is rich that’s why Bokkos is the largest producer of Irish potatoes, speaking about the rich cultural and nutritional food in Bokkos..
Hon. Wallangko said we have the Bokkos beans which if prepared is called Bubal a very healthy meal, “The local government is bless with so many things that’s why in Bokkos season in season out it produce agricultural products. Despite the security challenges Bokkos still produce very large agricultural products, and he thank governor Mutfwang’s intervention on security and fertilizers which has helped many farmers to returned to farm.
We in Bokkos we will key into governor Mutfwang agenda in agriculture to forther boost our agricultural products, because the governor is really doing well to assist various local government and local farmers to boost agricultural products, and when it comes to mineral resources and agriculture the governor is someone who doesn’t joke with that because he knows the importance attached to it.
We at the local government is who are closer to the people will do all our best the to support the governor to reach out to the grassroot, we have blueprints of people oriented projects that will touch their lives, we are also working on human capital development just as his excellency is doing.
Hon. Wallangko said when the trade fair of kasuwan plateau is over they will take a look, over view and take advantage of it to further explore in the international market with the products, the agricultural potential Bokkos has if properly manage and taken advantage of even the local government will no longer rely on subvention, and what the governor is doing in the agricultural and the mineral sectors if properly utilize even the state internally generated revenue IGR will sustain the state, the governor’s idea in those sectors is the right step in the right direction and they will give him full support to succeed.
Speaking with the honourable commissioner for works Hon. Adams Bulus Lekshak appreciates governor Mutfwang initiative in boost the agricultural and the mineral sectors in plateau, he said the governor is very passionate on developing plateau and to take it to greater heights, the kasuwan plateau is laudable achievement because it showcase made in plateau products, this shows how rich the state is in agriculture and mineral resources, according to him the governor has made soany efforts to construct many rural road which will help in moving all the agricultural and mineral products from the rural areas, efforts are on the way because through the governor’s efforts the state have so many interventions on roads and agriculture.
Soak over As a Bokkos person I want to proudly say we in Bokkos are rich in agriculture and minerals, our products that can compete anywhere in the world, under this administration of governor Mutfwang am proud to say that many farmers mostly in Bokkos where able to have bumper harvest because of the fertilizers intervention which the state government provide, it has really encouraged many people to go to farm, and he also commended the governor for the security strategies which he deployed to enable farmers go to farm.
