An unidentified Hausa man has issued a damning threat to President Bola Tinubu, warning him that any Nigerian that abuses Prophet Muhammad will be marked and eliminated.
The man who made the threat in a video shared on X ( formerly Twitter) on Friday, said northerners and especially Muslims, would not take any insults on the Holy Prophet lightly as they would track down anyone who does so and kill the person.
In the two minutes, 59 seconds video, the man said that northerners are not afraid of the President and would not hesitate to take decisive actions if he (President) encourages any Nigerian to abuse the Prophet.
Alluding to speech the President purportedly made during a meeting of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the man said:
“You President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, if you haven’t forgotten, you as the ECOWAS Chairman, had a meeting and had signed a law that anybody that abuse the beloved Prophet Muhammad, that is our beloved Prophet, the Messenger and the last Prophet, you said that anyone that abuses him, there is no any law or consequences against him.
“So Mr. President, for your information, your message has been delivered. After that, Mr. President, we want you to know that you are not the President of the Muslims. You are the President of Nigeria. You are the Chairman of ECOWAS.
“You are not the Chairman of the Muslims. For your information, the President of Nigeria, let me tell you something, we are not afraid of you.”
Giving much emphasis to the threat, the man said:
” Anybody that abuses the beloved Prophet, Mr. President, believe me you, that person is gone forever,” he said with his right hand slicing across his throat.
” Whether you like it or not, that person will be eliminated,” he stressed.
“Instantly, whether you like it or not Mr. President. And let this sound as a warning to you, Mr. President, we the northerners are warning you: we are not even begging you, we are warning you. This one should serve as a last warning to you Mr. President…
“Whatsoever you are doing, we are watching you. Don’t engage yourself in religious matters because as a President, you might cause war.
“Don’t forget that you are from Lagos while the majority of Muslins are from the north; that means you are causing religious war in your country.
“So Mr. President, let this serve as a last warning to you; we are warming you.”
Drawing his ear for emphasis, he added:”
Hear it Mr. President, we are warning you; we are warning you, we are not even begging you, we are warning you. This should serve as a last warning to you. You should go and remove that word that you made; go and take back your words,” he stated as a matter of fact.
