Abbas declares Olubunmi-Ojo, Sununu’s seats vacant

The positions of Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo and Tanko Sununu, who were named ministers by President Bola Tinubu, have been declared vacant by House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

After reading the former lawmakers’ communications, Mr. Abbas declared the seats vacant. Both parties announced their resignations from the House in separate letters.

Salisu Majigiri was also sworn in by the House, who also gave him the oath of office.

Recall that the Supreme Court dismissed a complaint against Majigiri and pronounced him the victor of the Mashi/Dutsi federal constituency in Katsina State.
